Vivo V7 Plus
Hello, Guys! Today I’m going to do an in-depth review on Vivo V7 Plus. 2017 is the year of the Bezel-less smartphone, all the best smartphones from all the major brands have an edge to edge screens. But the bezel-less displays are no longer just high-end feature take this Vivo latest mobile which is Vivo V7 Plus.
The Vivo V7 Plus also is a selfie focus smartphone with a 24-megapixel front-facing camera. This is also another smartphone with the 18 by 9 aspect ratio and this Vivo latest mobile priced at 21,990 rupees or 350 dollars. So, in this review, I’ll talk about all the aspects of the Vivo latest smartphone. So, let’s start-
Design & Build: –
Design wise, the Vivo V7 Plus is a quite good-looking smartphone with full vision display or rather 18 by 9 aspect ratio. The Vivo latest mobile comes with the bezel-less design and the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back panel which is mostly happening in the rear panel on most of the Vivo all mobile. It has a large display almost 5.9-inch or rather 6-inches but it doesn’t feel like a 6-inch smartphone because it’s an 18 is to 9 aspect ratio.
The volume rocker and the power button on the right side. On the bottom side, the micro USB charging slot, the speaker grille and the 3.5mm headphone jack. On the back panel, you have the 16-megapixel main camera, LED flash, fingerprint scanner and the Vivo branding.
The build quality wise Vivo latest mobile is not the best out there because this is the plastic build quality which is not the best experience. So, the build quality is just average while the design is quite decent for in this price range.
Fingerprint Scanner: –
The Fingerprint scanner mounted on the back panel, unlike other smartphones without the front-facing fingerprint scanner from Vivo Mobile. The fingerprint scanner experience is one of the fastest I’ve seen in this range, extremely fast. It unlocks without any sort of lag. that’s one of the best features of this Vivo mobile excellent fingerprint scanner experience on the Vivo V7 plus.
The Vivo V7 Plus comes with an IPS HD display with an 18 by 9 aspect ratio and 5.99-inches in screen size. The screen colours are quite good. The resolution of the display is pretty low for a 6-inch smartphone. It should have been the full HD panel and Vivo mobile has opted for an HD panel which is slightly disappointing for a smartphone at price 21,990rs or $350. The viewing angles are pretty nice and the touch feels pretty smooth. It has a 2.5D glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
This Vivo phone comes with a 24-megapixel selfie-shooter and you have a 16-megapixel main camera on the back panel and it has an LED flash as well. It does come with a lot of additional modes and features and you will see a lot of tools are included. It’s a fast interface and as a good job with the interface.
The main camera is a quite satisfactory experience with the rear camera although it was not the best experience for this price segment. But the low-light performance is not that great with Vivo V7 Plus. The Vivo V7 Plus produced warmer images while the Vivo V5 Plus produced more natural images.
The front-facing camera, it’s a whole different story instead of two selfie cameras on the Vivo V5 Plus, the Vivo V7 Plus only has one 24-megapixel front camera. The benefit of having dual cameras is depth sensing using that second camera to determine which is the subject in the foreground and which is the background. And creating that creamy blurry background effect like on a DSLR because the Vivo latest mobile doesn’t have the second camera. The Vivo V7 Plus uses software to artificially create blur effect and for the most part, does a good job. But there are times when the software can’t figure out what is subject and what is background.
So, the overall front camera is really good but the main camera is strictly average.
Performance & Memory: –
This smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 which clocked at Octa-Core 1.8GHz chipset. Now, looking at the Snapdragon 450 you could say that the Vivo mobile is slightly below the Snapdragon 625 in terms of the performance. The benchmark score is slightly lower than the Snapdragon 625 in terms of the performance. It offers a similar experience like the Snapdragon 625 but it is not a cheap Vivo mobile which is intended for a phone in this price range.
The gaming experience of this smartphone, I played high graphics-rich games. Gaming experience is quite good, no major heating issues and also the performance was quite satisfactory.
This Vivo latest mobile comes with an Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box with the custom Funtouch UI and this is the custom UI from Vivo mobile. This UI comes with a lot of additional options like smart-motion, smart split-screen, super screenshot, App clone is included. You can run two instances of the same App and smart click and other options are included. So, it’s a feature which UI and you will see the Notification Center and cube toggles are separate.
The Cube Toggles can be opened up from the swipe of the bottom panel very similar to iOS implementation. The Notification Center does not have any other options, other than showing the notifications. This Vivo mobile has multiple Home Screens devoid of an App Drawer and it does come with quite a lot of tools as well while the UI does not feel that great.
So, if you are a person who loves customizations then the Vivo mobile Funtouch always feels quite good with the support for themes and a lot of customization and addition features are included.
This Vivo mobile comes with a dedicated music chipset. So, the music abilities of this smartphone pretty nice. The call quality and the overall speaker performance look quite well.
This Vivo mobile comes with 3225 milliamp-hours battery. The battery life performance is quite a decent. You could get through one day of usage with a moderate usage. The screen on time was around at 3 to 4 hours so that’s the maximum you got. So, basically, it’s a phone which provides a decent experience.
So, how good this Vivo latest mobile good for this price range of 21,990rs or $350?
So, looking at the specifications and the experience you definitely say this Vivo mobile is priced way to higher than what it should have been 21,990rs or $350 is a really high pricing for 5.9-inch IPS HD display. It comes with a Snapdragon 450 chip which is slightly lower than Snapdragon 625 in terms of the performance which I found not so good. The selfie experience and 18 by 9 aspect ratio are great. Selfie experience is one of the best I’ve seen in this price range and the 18 by 9 aspect ratio is pretty nice for great media experience.
