Vernee Mars Pro
Hello, Guys! Today, I’m going to take a look at the Vernee mars Pro full review. Vernee is a young and very promising brand. Many people compare Vernee company with another well-known Chinese brand OnePlus. Now, the Chinese company is going to present its new smartphone called Vernee Mars Pro. A very beautiful design and rather powerful hardware will make the smartphone interesting for many people. So, let’s talk about features of Vernee Mars Pro.
The design of Vernee Mars Pro is very slim and it looks pretty stylish. The back is made metal and slightly curved near the edge and has some plastic antenna lines in the top and bottom. The rear camera is 13-megapixels and decided there is a dual coloured LED flash. The front camera is 5-megapixel.
In the bottom, I found a single loudspeaker, USB Type-C, and a microphone. On the right, you have the power and volume buttons and also a special fingerprint scanner. On the top, you have a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the left, you have the Dual SIM tray that has support for one Nano and one micro SIM or one Nano and one microSD card. The phone feels very comfortable in the hand because of the slim size, low weight, and full metal body.
On the front, it has 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass and the 5.5-inch display is in full HD 1080p with a very thin side bezel. The biggest feature of the smartphone is a very high-quality screen with a contrast of 1500:1. The viewing angle of the display is good but the brightness is not highest that I have seen. But it is completely enough for using a smartphone in direct sunlight.
Fingerprint scanner: –
The side fingerprint scanner is kind of special still a similar setup has also been seen on some models from Sony. So, the idea is not new. Basically, the fingerprint sensor works good but you really have it correct. else, it would not always work as intended. The location is very good as it near your thumb but the speed is not the best.
The camera app is designed very simple and with a slider, you can adjust the light very easily. While that is also some predefined colour filters to choose from. In the settings, you have scene mode, autofocus mode, anti-shake, and wall. You can change the picture size, series shorter delay, so when you change the setting the camera will actually freeze until you reboot the phone. It has also the HDR mode.
The front-facing camera which is okay for selfies but a little bit noisy in low-light. But even here you can also zoom which is not always the case. The camera can shoot some good average pictures, I wouldn’t say it’s great but it’s acceptable for my needs. Colors and details can, unfortunately, sometimes look a bit washed out, daylight image is, of course, the best but it is also able to shoot some okay pictures at night. If there is a light source but with less sharpness. One thing that is clearly bad is the shutter speed which is not fast at all.
It will be the cheapest device on the 2017’s market with 6GB of RAM and also aligned with 64GB of internal storage. Only a few smartphones with such a price tag can boast 6GB of RAM. And the storage is completely enough for any apps and games. It is perfectly compatible with the Brazilian bands and it will have Portuguese.
Thanks to 16-nanometer processor and architecture on Cortex-A53 Octa-Core, Helio P25 used in Vernee Mars Pro smartphone has great energy-saving features. Graphics Mali T880 MP2 can show itself very well in any graphics task, like heavy games and Apps.
In AnTuTu, I got a score of 68,500 very normal for the Helio P25 Chipset and games like Asphalt 8 runs great with high settings without any lag.
Let’s have a look at the software and features in the UI (User-Interface). You can hide the on-screen buttons, open the quick circles and notification bar with one click. Scrolling feels smooth and fast and the phone comes without any kind of bloat and out of the box, you will in fact, only find the Google apps pre-installed and the launcher does have some few extra options that you can see. In the settings, you can change the order or add something to the on-screen buttons. It has motion gestures like flipped to mute, pocket mode blocks the phone when the phone is in the pocket.
Status bar, where you can choose what stops should be shown in the status bar. Display where we find MiraVision and pulse notification light that just can be enabled or disabled. Inside the battery, you have the option to change from normal to performance mode.
And last let’s have a look inside about phone, wireless updates are supported, you can see here the model number, version and build. It is based on Android 7.0. It has full support for USB On-the-go also known as OTG.
A quick look inside CPU, where you can see the hardware system, battery, and most important sensors. Where you have Gyroscope and Compass. The Gyroscope works perfect with Google cardboard and the GPS is a mixed experience. It’s relatively fast to get a lock, the signals are average not the best I have seen but stable.
The speaker quality is what I would call average. It’s a bit metallic but voices are clear and loud while it lacks space and depth.
It has a 3500 mAh battery that gives 6-7 hours screen time which is more than enough for one whole day with normal usage. And even one and half day with light usage.
The Vernee Mars Pro worth to buy if you already have the Non-Pro Mars then I would say it’s not worth the upgrade. But if you like this model then go for it. The price is very reasonable taking into an account that you get a phone with 6GB of RAM, full HD display, very good battery life. Special side fingerprint scanner, improved camera quality, and a nice slim metal design.
Overall, the phone feels very well build, very fast in UI, looks good and does most things as expected. My complaints are the sound quality of the earpiece and the bottoms speaker which is not quite good. The fingerprint unlock is not the fastest, the screen brightness could be better but still, it is acceptable and they are, unfortunately, also some nasty software box in the pocket mode settings and the shutter speed of camera app is slow.
