UMIDIGI Z1 Pro
Hello, Friends! Today, I’m going to take a look at UMIDIGI Z1 Pro Review. UMIDIGI has produced quite a few phones over the time, and the Z1 Pro is one of the most powerful devices the company has ever made. Well, it looks great and fast but is it a great phone overall as it costs about 300 dollars? So, let’s find out-
The Z1 Pro stands out from many affordable phones digits red paint job of all metal housing. It does look perfect, but it was kind of hard to show the exact colour of the phone on camera as the colour changes under different lighting conditions. The overall build quality is just excellent, but I found the power button to rattle quite a bit.
You have a 5-megapixel front firing camera and LED notification light. Also, you can use either physical capacitive keys or on-screen navigation buttons.
The Dual Camera setup is one of the key highlights of this device. You have one 13-megapixel shooter and another 5-megapixel snapper with four bright LED lights for night photography.
The loudspeaker is not the best in this price range of phones, but that’s pretty nice.
The fingerprint scanner is very accurate, but it’s not the fastest out there since it takes quite a bit of time for a display to light up.
A 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display is excellent. It’s sharp, punchy, and it has deep blacks and decent sunlight legibility. Viewing angle of this phone is great. Also, the screen covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The camera allows you to take decent daylight images that will look beautiful on social media. But honestly, I expected better results. The images usually like detail, sharpness. The dynamic range adjustment is usually off, and the colours are not always accurate.
It can use the dual camera system to take pictures with that shallow depth field effect, but the results are not impressive. When you look at the camera draws a circle the primary object and blurs it out artificially. The zoom features work fine, but there is a quite a bit of noise in the pictures.
The low-light camera performance does not impress either as I expected higher quality images for me 300 bucks phone.
The selfies will do the trick for social media needs, but again they could look sharper and have more detail.
I was not impressed by either 4K or 1080p video quality. The footage likes details, quite a few video artefacts are going on, and there is no continuous autofocus feature. A 1080p selfie video looks quite okay, but it is usable for video chats or other kinds of stuff. However, I found that the sound recording quality is just average.
Performance & Memory: –
The UMIDIGI Z1 Pro has quite an impressive specs sheet that includes an Octa-Core MT6757 chip which clocked at 2.3Ghz, 64 gigabytes of expandable storage and 6 gigabytes of RAM. The gaming performance is outstanding, you can see just a few skips frames and some of the 3D games I played, but I can’t complain about that.
The Android 7.0 Nougat base user-interface is one of my favourite features of this device. Since you get a pretty much stock Android experience with just a few extra features, just name a few you can adjust the display settings customise the LED notification light or use the blue light filter. Most importantly, I found the phone to be working fast even after installing quite a few apps.
The Z1 Pro has a hybrid dual SIM card tray that can take either two SIMs or one SIM and the microSD card. Also, the phone has most of that needed sensors like Gyroscope and proximity so on. When it comes to connectivity, the Wi-Fi range and speed are good, and the GPS is accurate. The signal reception is good, and the call quality is decent.
A 4000 milliamp hours battery will let you use the phone for the entire day or more depending on the usage. I could achieve an excellent screen on time of about seven hours even if I use the phone quite intensively. Finally, it takes about one and half hours to charge the phone with an advanced supply charger fully.
The UMIDIGI Z1 Pro offers quite a lot as it is a powerful phone that looks nice. It has AMOLED display which is sharp, the device is fast on a daily basis, and the battery life is great. Well, it could have been a great phone, but the camera performance is kind of disappointing considering this phone costs more than 200 bucks.
