Ulefone T1 Premium Edition
Hello, Guys! Today I’m going to take a look at Ulefone T1 Premium Edition Review. Back in August of 2017, I revisited the Ulefone T1 that was quite a powerful smartphone but the company released the Premium Edition of it that has 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage. Also, it has a really awesome looking new paint job. So, Let’s start-
Design & Display: –
In terms of design, it hasn’t really changed much since the original Ulefone T1. The Ulefone T1 Premium is made of metal and it comes in blue and red combination looks simply amazing in practice. The Overall build quality could be great but both SIM card tray and buttons rattle quite a bit.
The Ulefone T1 Premium Edition has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080p Full HD resolution and 401 PPI pixel density. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. I found the display to be plenty sharp for everyday use. It has great brightness and the sunlight legibility also good. The Viewing angles are great. The colour reproduction is good.
We have customizable on-screen navigation keys, a beefy 13-megapixel front-firing camera, LED notification light and LED flash for night selfies.
I found a fingerprint scanner to be accurate and it unlocks the phone without any issues. However, the display could light up a little bit faster. The home button is programmable so we can use it for navigating through the UI without using the On-screen navigation keys.
The Ulefone T1 Premium has just one camera sensor, in other words, this is a fake Dual camera setup. The sound quality via the 3.5mm headphone jack is decent and same can be said about the loudspeaker but I wish the volume output was better.
The Ulefone T1 Premium comes with the dual camera on the rear panel which actually not Dual, it’s a fake Dual Camera. It has a 16-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 wide aperture and Two-tone Quad LED flash. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 wide aperture and soft light for night selfies.
Daylight image quality I expected the better results considering the fact there is a Dual camera setup. You can take some good-looking images but I would like to see more detail, sharpness and the dynamic range adjustment is inconsistent.
As for the low-light picture quality, it is decent but not really impressive like on most of the sub $270 phones. The selfies look great as the images are quite detailed. They could a little bit sharper but I think the pictures will look great on social media. A front-facing LED flash is actually powerful enough for taking decent night selfies.
The video is quite frustrating that the phone can shoot videos only at 1080p resolution. A good thing is that the video looks quite decent and the continuous Autofocus feature works quite well. The 1080p selfies video looks quite good for a budget phone. The sound recording quality is above average.
Processor, Memory & Performance: –
The Ulefone T1 Premium Edition is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 Chipset which clocked at Octa-Core 2.6GHz processor with 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal storage which is expandable up to 256 gigabytes via the microSD card slot. It has ARM Mali T880 graphics card.
Just as on the original Ulefone T1, the gaming performance is near excellent because of the great specifications. You can play any 3D games at the highest graphics settings without any hiccups or lags. The phone does not get very hot while gaming either.
As far as day-to-day performance almost Stock Android 7.1 Nougat User Interface assurance that the phone is usually fast and fluid. We have some extra features to play with just name of few, you can change the colours of the LED notification light or use some gesture controls that work pretty well. Sometimes, the phone is kind of slow to respond to your gesture. There is also a built-in screen recorder so you don’t use any third-party applications.
I didn’t have any connectivity issues with this phone. The call quality and signal reception are pretty good and even the GPS is very accurate. The phone has quite a few sensors including the Gyroscope so you will be able to use this phone with VR headsets.
The Ulefone T1 Premium ships with a 3680 milliamp-hours battery. A non-replaceable battery will let you use the phone for the entire day or more depending on the usage. I could achieve a pretty standard screen on time of about 5 and a half hours which is a decent result. What I noticed, however, is that the battery drains a little bit faster than usual on the standby mode but keep in mind that I have installed a lot of apps. Finally, it takes about 1 and half hours to fully charge the phone with a supplied fast charger.
Overall, the Ulefone T1 Premium Edition is a very powerful and nice-looking budget phone. However, the camera remains the weakest point of this device. It can take some decent images but there are better smartphones in this department. All-in-all, the Ulefone T1 Premium Edition offers quite a lot of value for the price but as always make sure to consider all the Pros and Cons before making the purchase.
