Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Review, Full Specifications, Price, and My Opinion

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

Introduction: –

Hello! Guys, Today I’m Going to take a look at Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Review. This is the newer model of the Tab S2 which came out about 2 years ago. So is another attempt by Samsung to make a really good, well-performing all-purpose Android tablet that’s on the higher-end. Samsung definitely makes improvements when compared to the tab S2. So let’s start with some of the good things about the Tab s3-

Design: –

Galaxy Tab S3 design review

One really good thing is the design, Samsung’s still managed to keep this tablet really light and very premium feeling and looking the tab S2 has this kind of like matte black plastic E-type of the back. But this one now has a glass back comes in a black and silver version. You will see it does pick up some fingerprints the black version. It has a glass covering that makes it heavier and more premium. Glass is inherently a little slippery and thankfully didn’t break either. You’ll find the usual Samsung buttons.

The Tab s3 has a microSD and SIM Card slot as well as a USB type-c port and 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. It also makes the tablet very prone to smudges though. The Tab S3 standout features are its rich HDR compatible Super AMOLED display and the four speakers built into it promising an immersive and captivating multi-media experience.

Display: –

Samsung is packing 9.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with HDR capability on the front of the Tab S3. The resolution is little lower than the average Phone at 2048 x 1536p. Which is sort of ironic since it’s about twice the size of the average phone. Even at this size though you won’t notice in most applications and it’s really less of a problem that it might seem like on paper. Watching videos on it is a thing of beauty though especially if you set the panel of AMOLED cinema mode which brings the contrast in colours to a more natural level than the default setting.

It opens up the world of the HDR video and supported the application. The Tab S3 supports the HDR 10 standards which unfortunately means that Netflix and their Dolby vision platform aren’t supported this time. Still, even regular HD program and look stunning on this tablet and the screen paired with the speakers make this the ultimate tablet to watch pretty much anything.

KeyBoard: –

Galaxy tab S3 keyboard review

Samsung is also selling the amazing keyboard for 130 bucks that brings the whole package together and quite frankly will make this tablet and laptop killer for more than a few folks out there. It has a magnetic cover to cling on to the tablet and the letter conveniently senses data and power to the keyboard via a pogo connection interface for the keyboard just like S-Pen.

You’ll never need to charge that keyboard since it’s all powered by the 6000 mAh battery inside the tablet itself. And the Pogo pins keep users from having to deal with annoying Bluetooth pairing or connection issues. There are even handy shortcuts here for multitasking and the like making this feel far more like a laptop, the computer than a tablet.

S-Pen: –

Galaxy Tab S3 S-Pen Review

Another good thing about the Tab S3 is that it comes with this improved S-Pen. So this one is kind of rubberized and has a super small, Super narrow .7mm tip that can sense about 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. And has this one singular button over the s-pen helps you with menu options and things like that. And also is it an eraser when you’re sketching and all that stuff. S-Pen hovers over the Tab Screen a little circle appears to track its position.

Using the button on the S-pen you can activate Air Command to access shortcuts such as creating out, smart select and translate. The last one lets you pick a word the stylus to translate into your desired language. Drawing with the S-Pen is addictively smooth and I really enjoy drawing shapeless blob with it.

Camera: –

Galaxy Tab S3 Camera Review

The camera is surprisingly good too with the upgrades to both the front and rear cameras. there were previous tablet generations, the rear camera utilises a 13-megapixel sensor and some of the better software we’ve seen on tablets. Delivering great balance photos that shine even in low light. There’s no auto HDR mode here which is okay because it’s a bit slow anyway and should be used only for is not a lot of movement.

The front-facing 5-megapixel camera is an upgrade in every way over even the Galaxy S7 family. It provides great detail in all kinds of lighting conditions which should make video calls than ever. There’s even 4k video recording support here and although only 1080p are lower provides image stabilisation. The recording quality itself is really quite good. When it comes to tablets is not generally much of a demand for fantastic cameras due to the sheer bulk and awkwardness of using a Tab S3 Camera. But It’s nice to see something better than VGA quality when you really need it.

Processor & Memory: –

It has Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 CPU and 4GB of RAM. The Tab S3 was mostly fast responsive there’s a slight delay in launching apps like Camera and chrome but once they were up and running the apps performed well. Synthetic benchmark tests put the Tab S3 just behind the Google Pixel C which packs a powerful Nvidia Tegra X1 Octa-Core processor.

Gaming: –

Galaxy Tab S3 performance review

On gaming to get some nice boots from the Snapdragon 820 and US-based versions of the Tab S3. While International versions have the powerful Exynos line powering that back-end. These chips are the same ones you’ll find in the Galaxy S7 family worldwide and with a slightly lower resolution than those phones. You’ll find the performance of the thing of glory no matter what you’re running.

Vulkan API support is here for the first time to give an easy  30% or greater performance boosts and games that support it. This is awesome to Samsung has included its game tool for the first time ever on the tablet. This includes the game launcher which makes finding installed games easy as it puts all those shortcuts in one place.

Sound: –

Galaxy Tab S3 sound review

The real surprise here comes in the form of four speakers placed around the edges of the tablet though. These Quad speakers tuned by AKG, individually deliver .64 watts of stereo audio pleasure with virtual surround options system-wide. They even reorient themselves depending on how you’re holding the tablet to deliver proper special sound and their volume levels and clarity are nothing short of stunning.

It delivers truly an excellent sound that’s good for movies, gaming, music and whatever else you can think of. These simple sum of the absolute best speakers we’ve ever heard on the Mobile device.

Battery: –

Galaxy Tab S3 battery life

It has 6000 mAh battery which is great, easily pulling off a full day of constant video watching and game playing before needing to be charged. On our battery test, The Galaxy Tab S3 took out the competition with its 11 hours 50 minutes result.

Conclusion: –

Overall The Galaxy Tab S3 is simply an incredible tablet one that offers the ultimate Mobile entertainment and productivity. It’s not the cheapest tablet around but for the price, you’re getting a much better experience than anything else in this range. And a suite of software features that are hard to beat. The S-Pen brings a massive slate of options of the table and the screen and Quad-speaker set-up or something to marvel at. If you are in the market for a top-tier tablet or even a laptop replacement this is absolutely the one you should get hands down.
