Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro
Hello, Friends! Welcome back, today I’m going to take a look at ZUK Z2 Pro Review. This smartphone doesn’t even price 300 dollars but it has some killer specifications for the price. That includes a still plenty powerful Snapdragon 820 processor 128 gigabytes of internal storage and 6 gigs of RAM. So, let’s get started-
Design & Display: –
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro also looks and feels premium. It has a certain metal frame that goes all around the device and premium feeling buttons. Also, the ZUK Z2 Pro is manageable in a single hand.
The glass back plate may attract fingerprints and smudges easily but they are at least not that visible on the white model. The phone has a tiny and not that bright LED notification light and it has a jack which now has to be considered as advantages.
Since it has just a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display which is excellent. it’s sharp, punchy and vivid but it could be slightly brighter for outdoor use.
When it comes to the camera, You have a pretty compelling setup that has a 13-megapixel sensor with a bright F/1.8 aperture lens and OIS (optical image stabilization). On the front panel, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
The picture quality is pretty good and you can definitely take some really good photos with that 13-megapixel main camera. Obviously, there are some shortcomings since this is a sub $300 smartphone after all. I took most of the photos on a cloudy day so the lighting conditions were not the best. So, I expected the camera to do a little bit better job with the dynamic range and exposure adjustment.
The low-light picture quality is pretty nice as I’ve seen a lot worse performers in this price segment. Since the ZUK Z2 Pro doesn’t have the autofocus selfie camera, I managed to take selfies that are a little bit out of focus. So, you can take some decent quality images.
The 4K video looks very nice, there is plenty of detail and sharpness. The colours are pretty accurate and even the image stabilization works quite well. A few complaints would be that the continuous autofocus feature could be a little bit faster and some scenes look underexposed.
The 1080p footage looks great, there is a less detail than a 4K video but optical image stabilization does a very good job stabilizing the video.
The 1080p selfie video looks very good too also the sound recording quality is decent.
Performance & Memory: –
The ZUK Z2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which clocked at Quad-Core 2.15GHz with Adreno 530 Graphics. It can still handle anything you throw at it. I played all sorts of 3D games on the very highest graphics settings and the ZUK Z2 Pro handles them very well. You can install a lot of Applications as you also get 128 gigabytes of internal storage which is not expandable but I’m happy with that. If you add 6 gigs of RAM, you can rest assured that the ZUK Z2 Pro will be fast and responsive even after installing a lot of Applications.
A physical home button is one of my favourite features of ZUK Z2 Pro. It not only doubles as a fingerprint scanner that works really well but it also has a touchpad. If you tap it, it takes you back and if you swipe it from left to right you will navigate through the recent applications. If you don’t like double pressing, the button to see all the applications running in the background.
Finally, you can customize the touchpad which is really neat. It’s worth mentioning that my phone shipped with the unofficial international ROM that is still based on the Android 6.0. It may sound like a shortcoming but the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro is a fast phone even after installing quite a few applications. Also, I like that you can open a highly customizable quick settings menu by swiping from the bottom that makes it really easy to manage the phone in single hand.
The ZUK Z2 Pro also helps you take care of your health with an integrated health application that not only does all the usual stuff but it also utilizes a heart rate monitor a blood oxygen sensor and the UE sensor.
The loudspeaker sound quality is pretty nice. It may not be the best in this price segment but it’s not bad at all. The sound quality via the headset jack is great.
When it comes to connectivity, the ZUK Z2 Pro didn’t have any issues at all. The signal reception and the call quality have been great. The Wi-Fi speed and range is good. Finally, the GPS sensor is very accurate, the phone has most of the sensors including a Gyroscope. So, you’re all set in this category especially if you want to use this phone with VR headsets.
A 3100 milliamp-hour battery allows you to use the device for a quite a long time. I was able to get over 7 hours of screen on time and that is an impressive result considering the fact. That I mostly used the phone with a maximum display brightness settings. Also, it takes just about one and half hours to fully charge. The phone with a supplied charger that comes in the box along with other standard accessories.
The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro is definitely one of the best phones you can buy for under $350. Here, this phone has a few shortcomings like a little bit outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System but given the overall features set, a flagship great build quality and a powerful specifications sheet. The ZUK Z2 Pro is a very easy buying recommendation. In fact, this is one of the best smartphones for the price. You can also buy this smartphone on $303.19 at GEARBEST. I think that the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro is a really great phone for the price segment especially if you need a lot of sheer power but what you think about this smartphone please leave me a comment down below-
