LeTV LeEco Le S3 X626
Hello, Guys! Today I’m going to take a look at Leeco Le S3 X626 review. I know that this phone was released quite some time ago but the reason why I’m doing this review is that you can get it for as low as $100 which is just an insane value. So, let’s start-
Design & Display: –
The Leeco Le Se ships with all the usual stuff and some extras including a nice soft TPU back cover and the USB Type-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack adapter. Since the phone does not have the headphone jack. For just over 100 dollars you get a premium metal made a phone that looks and feels much more expensive than it is. Although the phone looks nice, the metal edges are really sharp on the display side even too sharp for my taste.
The LeTV Leeco Le S3 has 5.5-inch IPS LCD display at 1080 by 1920p Full HD resolution with 403PPI pixel density. The screen is very sharp and crispy and more bright. The sunlight legibility is great. The display is beautiful to look at both indoors and outdoors but you will have to live with those bezels or black bars if you like to call them in that way. Well, at least you get nicely backlit capacitive keys and a multicolour notification LED light.
The rest of the features are really impressive too considering a low price of the phone, you get the powerful camera, a fast and accurate fingerprint scanner, really solid & tactile buttons and IR blaster. One thing that may bother you is that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack but the sound quality via the supplied adapter is just great. Finally, the loudspeaker is easily one of the best in the sub $100 phone category.
The LeTV Leeco LE S3 has a 21-megapixel main camera with Dual Colour Temperature LED flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The overall picture quality is just excellent for the phone is cheap. The main camera captures plenty of detail and the images look really good considering the fact that most of them were taken on a cloudy day. The low-light camera performance is not so good but still, it is one of the best in this price segment.
The Leeco Le S3 can shoot videos in 4K at 30 frames per second and the quality is again really good. Same can be said about the selfie video, picture quality and sound recording quality is decent.
Processor, Memory & Performance: –
The Leeco Le S3 X626 is powered by MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 Chipset which clocked at Deca-Core 2.3GHz processor with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of internal storage which is not expandable. There is ARM Mali T880 MP2 graphics card which is great for performance.
On paper, the Leeco Le S3 is a pretty powerful phone. In reality, the Helio X20 chipset is showing its edge if you care about the 3D games. My classic test involves playing Asphalt 8 on different graphics settings, the phone struggles on the highest graphics settings really badly but you can play this game on medium graphics. So, there are few skipped frames here and there but nothing major. Other games I play to work quite well.
One of the downsides of Leeco Le S3 X626 runs Android 6 Marshmallow but I’m sure it can sideload Android 7 in one way or another. Anyway, I found a user interface to be quite enjoyable to use. My favourite features of the UI include the all-in-one quick settings and recent apps menu which are highly customizable. There are also plenty of settings adjust the display or change the looks of the phone. Most importantly, I found the Leeco Le S3 to be fast on the daily basis even with a ton of apps installed.
The call quality is good on this phone and so are other connectivity options. There are also 15 sensors including Gyroscope.
The Leeco Le S3 X626 ships with a 3000 milliamp-hours battery. Under my usage, the phone get could me through the day but I could only get about 4 hours of Screen On Time. Your mileage may vary depending on the usage. the supplied fast charger fully charger the phone in about 1 hour and 20 minutes which is the very good result.
All-in-all the Leeco Le S3 X626 offers a lot of value for this price segment but if you want me to mention a few shortcomings I would say that this phone ships with Android 6 marshmallow out of the box but there are few ways to sideload Android 7. Also, the battery life could be slightly better but other than that the Leeco S3 is a great value for just over $100. So, what do you guys think drops me a comment down below and give ratings.
