InFocus Vision 3
Hello, Folks! Today I’m going to do a full specifications review of Infocus Vision 3. In this discussion, we’ll talk about the in-depth aspects of this Infocus mobile. So, this phone priced 6,999rs in India and it’s probably the cheapest phone with an 18 by 9 aspect ratio as of now. This Infocus Mobile Phone also comes with a 5.7-Inch HD+ resolution display. Now, let’s start-
Design & Build: –
Design wise, the most interesting aspect of this device is the 18 by 9 aspect ratio so this is the probably the first device with 18:9 ratio in this price segment. It comes with a matte unibody construction. It’s made of plastic but it feels quite good because this Infocus mobile has a curved edge which feels quite.
The build quality is pretty good and you will see the rear panel has Dual Camera setup which looks similar to Infocus Turbo 5 and you have also the LED flash along the antenna band. Antenna Bands are available on top and bottom. Bottom side, you have an InFocus branding and the speaker unit which is located on the right side of the bottom. Below the camera unit, you get the Fingerprint scanner as well. You have the power key and the hybrid SIM slot on the right side. On the top, you get the 3.5mm Headphone Jack and at the bottom, you have micro USB 2.0 charging port along with the microphone. The left side of the phone, you get the volume rockers.
On the front panel, you have 8-megapixel front-facing camera, the earpiece and the 18 by 9 aspect ratio display and we have on-screen navigation buttons. So, Infocus has done a quite good work by keeping the bezels very minimal and it feels quite good.
Network, Sound & Biometrics: –
This Infocus mobile comes with Dual SIM cards 4G LTE and VoLTE. The downside of the storage, it does come with only Hybrid SIM card slot so you cannot expand the storage if you’re using Dual SIM cards.
Now, the speaker performance, the speaker is located on the rear panel and did a decent job for this price segment. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear panel. It’s quite fast in unlocking the device and does a decent job altogether. So, it is responsive and very accurate as well.
Now, let’s talk about the most important aspect of this device it’s the 18 is to 9 aspect ratio display and a 5.7-inches in screen size with HD+ resolution that’s 720 by 1440p. The Infocus Vision 3 display also has 2.5D curved glass and it feels quite good because the viewing angles are pretty good for 6-7k rupees device. There is a slight change in colour when you tilt the display but nevertheless, for this price range, this is quite good display quality. It’s a pretty vibrant, colourful and also the touch response feels pretty smooth. So overall, the display of this Infocus mobile phone definitely is the good aspect of the phone.
We have a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera combination on the rear panel and we have an LED flash as well so it’s a dual camera system. On the front panel, we have an 8-megapixel camera.
It has a quite interesting interface. We get a lot of additional modes like Beauty Mode, Panorama, Pro Mode and some useful option. There is also bokeh mode included but the problem with the bokeh mode or portrait mode with the rear camera is that the bokeh level is very much inaccurate even if you increase the slider to 7. There is not much of bokeh effect visible in the images of backgrounds are not getting blurred.
Other than that you also get to see an additional option here, there is a PIP mode where you can take a picture of both rear camera and front camera using this mode. So, that’s something a new feature in this budget segment.
We also found the bokeh shots taken with a front-facing camera to be more accurate because there is also bokeh mode using software algorithm in this camera. The overall image quality of Infocus Vision 3 is above average in this price range. There isn’t much of sharpness or punchy colours but some more images do feel the colours are washed out, not the real colours. But nevertheless, it does a decent job because this is primarily not a camera smartphone. The low-light shots are quite decent.
The selfies turned out to be surprisingly acceptable for this price range and the bokeh effect is kind of acceptable because we don’t see selfies with bokeh effect in this price range. This Infocus mobile also can record videos in 1080p resolution.
The InFocus Vision 3 comes with custom UI which is the Smile UX UI from Infocus mobile and there is a custom settings panel and there is no app drawer instead it comes up with multiple home screens. It also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat version. You also have some additional options, there are a special settings options where you have App Twins that is running two instances of the same app like WhatsApp, Facebook. There are some motion gestures like Tri finger screenshot, Turn over to reject call, Silent on Pickup and Press power button twice for the camera. There are also the screen record and Private space options. You also customize the navigation buttons and you can also hide the navigation bar. So, these are some really useful options and this Infocus mobile also comes with support for themes, you can download additional themes and customize the device.
Processor, Memory & Performance: –
The InFocus Vision 3 is powered by MediaTek MT6737H chipset which clocked at Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor with 2 gigabytes of RAM and 16 gigabytes of internal storage which is expandable up to 128 gigabytes via microSD card.
Now, the MediaTek MT6737H is not powerful for this price range but it’s a budget chipset and this can be easily seen in the performance as well. In day-to-day tasks, we didn’t see any sort of major lags or hiccups but I feel this slow to respond when there are lots of apps running in the background. That’s quite acceptable because this is a budget Infocus mobile and you can’t expect a terrific performance. So, the RAM available in idle mode it’s not very high so if you’re running too many apps in the background you will see some struggle or slightly hiccups when switching between the apps.
We feel the gaming was not very good but with medium graphics settings you can definitely play heavy rich games but it is definitely not suited for gaming because it’s a budget chipset so we can’t expect a high-performance gaming on this device. But nevertheless, it does a decent job altogether in the performance department.
This Infocus mobile phone comes with a massive 4000 milliamp-hours battery that’s the highlight of this device along with this display. The battery performance is definitely good on this device. You can get almost close to 1 and half days of battery life on this Infocus mobile. If you’re travelling a lot this definitely good device.
Overall, the InFocus Vision 3 is a good phone in this price range. Pros, a good design and build quality, better display with 18 by 9 aspect ratio, a decent performance, quite customizable software with themes and some additional gestures supported and there is good battery life as well.
Cons, there is only hybrid SIM card tray that means you can’t expand storage if you are using two SIM cards, the camera performance could have been better and there is also gaming performance is not great. Apart from that, you could see some slight performance issues because of just 2 gigabytes RAM available.
So, if you’re looking for an ultra-budget smartphone with a good battery capacity and the latest 18 by 9 aspect ratio display then this Infocus mobile makes a great device to buy.
