Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Reviews
Huawei brings their brand-new P-series devices that undercut the flagship mate-line. However, the line between the two has gradually gotten blurred in previous generations does. This new P-series device brings its own flavor on top of features that we may have seen any previous may P9. Well, It’s time to find out of Huawei P10 and P10 plus reviews. Now head to head full written review to take a look at my opinions. So, I’m going to have my opinion be represented.
The P10 devices are still pretty reminiscent of the previous P9 and other metal construction phones in the P-series. They have smooth sides and corners all the buttons are on the right side including a subtle very very effective color accent that goes around the power button. The phone is also pretty thin making it pretty easy grip. A small panel on the top when it comes to the backing houses the dual sensor system which does change in combination depending on which edition is used.
Below that, however, is the potential for a couple of new colors. Our P10 unit the new dazzling blue color. The only real features to take note of on the front is the capacitive key. Below the screen that is not where the fingerprint sensor is but if there’s also what you can use in place of the soft keys. So, overall the P10 the regular one is the easier to use device mostly because of its size. The design benefits mainly from the new colors. The screens do change between the two devices and not just in size.
The P10 5.1inch display has 1080p resolution while the P10 plus is a 5.5inch screen, both 2k resolution. Now, these are IPS screens and we give Huawei some credit for claiming that these screens will get up to 600 units and brightness. Which is pretty damn bright. In my testing, I found that to pretty much be the case. As far as the colors, ago they do tend to the cooler side of the spectrum but that’s not that big of a deal when you can customize them with settings.
A regular 12-megapixel camera at the F/2.2 aperture is backed by a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and that’s in the case of the regular P10. P10 plus gets an aperture bump to F/1.8. Before the talk about the main camera, Let’s talk about the selfie or front-facing camera an 8-megapixel F/1.9 aperture shooter helps to get better low-light shots.
It is backed by a powerful selfie mode that is a little bit uncomfortable in terms of its customization. It’s a nice touch that falls short in implementation. When bringing us to the main camera an actual aperture setting can be used to pull the foreground away from everything behind it.On top of the portrait mode, I just mentioned It can get as low as f/1.95 which is impressive.
Video modes now include 4K and 1080p 60frames per second recording which is all good to see. It has image and video stabilization, its only works on the 1080p shooting modes. You have OIS available for 4K but if you want to smooth the video, You’ll probably have to stick with 1080p.
The Huawei P10 and P10 plus have great cameras but they’re not necessarily. The most user-friendly auto cameras. but really overall you’ll see the pictures from the P10 proved that the Dual camera lens and sensor combo still works. Not to mention the fact of that monochromatic photos look awesome because it has 20-megapixel sensor dedicated to it all pictures have a good level of detail. color modes can be changed through their output to vivid or soft aside from the standard profile.
Processor and Memory: –
Which bring us to performance and underneath all that surface. We have the Kirin 960 and the Mali-G71 MP8 graphics. Benchmarks put both of these phones pretty high up on the food chain which is not that big of a surprise. P10 plus gets the bump to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It is important to note however that higher resolution and the Plus model make it work a bit harder under heavy graphical load. This is really only mentionable because of the graphics benchmarks. Which favored the 1080p resolution P10 over the P10 plus.
Now aside from the capacitive keys that we have already covered. There are no real big additions in the hardware all network connections are possible including NFC. I use the P10 plus on the T-mobile network without any issues when it came to speed on the mobile network or call quality.
Finally EMUI the Huawei Android iteration that has seen a few changes in the last generations and the P10 EMUI I still has a large number of features that make it one of the most robust versions of Android So far. It only gets better with Android Nougat especially with the addition of Google Assistant. At first glance the EMUI kind of grates on the senses because it doesn’t have an App drawer but in the settings, you have an option for adding the app drawer.
The capacitive key, I mentioned earlier but also a floating dock that also can replace these soft keys by adding a small button that floats on the screen and then you can just press all of the different homes, back or recent apps buttons there.
My initial test, in my actual daily usage of the P10 Plus I found that to be the case with general usage ranging from Z-empire gameplay to YouTube viewing to a lot of music playing and even GPS navigation from time to time. I found the 5 hours of screen on time to pretty much be the case. This battery is able to get from 0-50% in about half an hour which is awesome. The Huawei P10 has 3200 mAh battery and P10 Plus has 3750 mAh battery.

The Huawei P10 and P10 plus these are very solid devices and really show that Huawei is blurring the line from flagship mate line down to its P-series phones. the p10 is a wonderful example of that while we do think It’s camera quite stellar. It does require a bit of due diligence. The display is great and the design is very solid. One thing I really love about the Phone is its battery life. It’s one of those phones that requires users to kind of do their homework and then once figuring out all of the different quirks of the phone.
You might end up having one of the best experiences of 2017. Especially considering that we are expecting all of the competition in 2017 to be pretty fierce. If you do have the ability to get the Huawei P10 and choose between it and other Android flagships this year. I think you might actually have a fight on your hands.
