Huawei P10 Lite
Hello! Guys, Today, I’m Going to take look at Huawei P10 Lite review. In this review, it’s not about the thing if this phone is worth it which I definitely think it is. But it’s about the question if this phone can hold up its own against a very strong competition at around 300 dollars.
The P10 lite has an aluminium and magnesium body. It’s very strong, beautiful and more durable. It prevents the scratches over the body. It looks very stylish and easy to hold in a single hand. We’ve also like 2.5D double side curved glass here and then better curve towards the back which feels you very smooth and shiny. Overall it is very comfortable in the hand to use the phone.
There’s no physical Home Button on the front of the phone and, therefore, no fingerprint reader on the front. In fact, the fingerprint for the P10 Lite is on the back. Talking on the back of the Phone here you won’t find the Dual camera set-up like the P10. In fact, here you got a much more simple single camera configuration.
There are a few other minor differences the P10 Lite is using micro USB rather than USB type-c. The Headphone jack is now on the top but some things are the same, the power button and the volume rocker on the right side. The microSD card slot and SIM card tray are on the left side of the phone.
Talk about the display, It has 5.2 FHD and 20% thinner display. Here, the only thing that you can actually change is the colour temperature. But this is actually good enough because this is a super sweet display. It is very bright and the sunlight readability is good. The White predecessor had already quite good out of the box the black also solid but with a little bit more IPS flow than on some better phones out there. I definitely like the calibration here a lot because it is a very still natural one. The viewing angles I would say are good maybe not the best ones but still, this is absolutely nice to use the phone.
Let’s move over on to the Camera so as I’ve mentioned earlier here you have the single camera configuration and it includes a 1 over 2.2 sensor. It’s a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with F/2.2 aperture. Outdoor photos from this camera are really solid autofocus, good shadow times by now and we get great results because of very sharp, detailed and accurate pictures.
The front-facing camera, it is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with F/2.0. The Selfie is definitely looked absolutely nice and sharp, good colour balance. Indoors this front camera gets to capture a little bit blurry selfies but still very nice contracts. If we check low-light capability to be here with a flash and without flash, it’s almost even not any worse because of a little bit blurry but not grainy. However considering the position of this phone is a mid-range device I was actually very impressed by the camera.
Processor & Memory: –
You’re not going to getting a flagship processor here, in fact, It has Kirin 658 which is an Octa-Core Cortex A-53 set up with a Mali-T830MP2 GPU. Now neither of those are a powerhouse or bleeding edge. However, I must say that I found the device actually handled quite well and that’s probably because of two significant things. First is built on 16nm FinFet which makes it kind of towards the bleeding edge of processor technology and secondly, the 830 is a good GPU. You also get 4GB of RAM that’s for Western Europe and a few other key regions. For the rest of the world is 3GB of RAM and then supporting that you’ve got 32GB of internal storage. However, I must say quite a lot of the internal storage is already taken up by Android and some of the pre-installed apps.
Now, I must say when it came to the performance, this phone does perform better than most of the other Octa-Core Cortex A-53 phones out there. SO we’re talking about phones have got like the Snapdragon 625. You’ll actually find that the Kirin 658 just beat them. I’d be able to play a few 3D games on it and I didn’t have any problems but if you are looking for ultra smooth 3D gaming without dropping any frames and it isn’t the device for you.
It has Li-Po 3000 mAh battery, a full charge takes 1 hour and 40 minutes which is absolutely great. Because usually on Huawei phones I don’t get the fast charge times but this is absolutely great. Battery life that I would like to call quite good and just not very good because I noticed at least pretty much of every MIUI 5 phone quite a flaky standby drain.
Overall, I have to point out the very good build quality it feels supreme. It’s very compact design makes it very easy to use with the absolutely great button feel. They have a very good fingerprint reader which is the pretty much absolutely normal thing for a while devices. But also once again a very good display this time very nicely saturated and so on. What I like to see personally a lot is here that we have a solid Oleophobic coating.
The speaker is loud and solid so fully satisfying and pretty much also fully satisfying would be the very nice performance if it wouldn’t be for the slightly muddy feel. We get quite good battery life like I said the slightly flaky standby drain. The good software, a very good selfie camera and Rear camera with good photos and at least a decent video camera.
So what’s not that great, average headphone jack it’s not quite very snappy because it feels a little bit like it would drag it through mud, Software needs a little bit refinement and the video cam is behind the competition.
I get into now in the final words because this phone and I said already from the start It’s in my opinion definitely well worth the price.
