In-Depth Specifications Comparison Between the Huawei Honor V10 Vs OnePlus 5T and Conclusion

Huawei Honor V10 Vs OnePlus 5T

Introduction: –

Hello, Folks! Today I’m going to do a full specifications comparison between Honor V10 Vs OnePlus 5T. OnePlus 5T is probably the most wanted Chinese smartphone in this period that is why it makes sense to compare these two smartphones to establish which is worth to buy. If you have a low budget and you are searching for the best high-end handset this comparison may be very useful for you as there are not many smartphones at the same level as these ones which are sold in the same price segment.

I think there are some people which didn’t like the OnePlus 5T because of some aspects. So, might they will like the Honor V10 after this comparison. Let us know which is better and which is going to be a real mid-range king of 2017 as for the display.

Design: –

The OnePlus 5T has a very similar design like the Vivo X20. A full metal unibody design which also resembles the one of the Oppo R11s. It is less original design than its opponent but it is more resistant. The handset measures 156.1 x 75 x 7.3mm dimensions while its weight is just 162 grams, a pretty lightweight device. The OnePlus has also a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom which is now rarely found. However, the phone design is very common.

On the other hand, the Honor V10 has a very refined metal profile and a glass back because Huawei did a great job in optimizing the size and making the look of the device beautiful. The handset has a size of 157 x 75 x 7mm with a weight of 172 grams little heavier than the OnePlus 5T. The V10 is very thin, ergonomic and even though it has a bezel-less display panel. On the front panel, there is space for a home button which includes a fingerprint reader. This means that unlocking the phone will be comfortable too. However, both the phones are not water-resistant. Anyways, the Honor V10 seems to have a better design overall.

Facial Recognition: –

Both the phones have face unlocking technology. The Honor V10 has AI built-in face recognition technology which makes your phone safer. The face recognition also works in low-light. OnePlus 5T has also an insanely fast face unlocking technology which also works perfectly under low-lightening conditions. But I think an AI built-in face recognition is better and safer than any super fast face unlocking technology. It is very tough to trick any AI built-in Face unlocking technology. So, for this department, the Honor v10 is the winner.

Display: –

The display of Honor V10 has a size of 5.99-inch IPS LCD technology and 18 by 9 aspect ratio, a high screen to body ratio and a full HD Plus resolution with 1080 by 2160 pixels. For protection, V10 features a TP protective film that protects the screen from scratches but not from breaking. I think they should add a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in V10. It has bright, sharp and has great viewing angles.

On the other hand, OnePlus 5T has a 6.01-Inch display with the Optic AMOLED technology. This display has the innovative 18 by 9 aspect ratio like it’s opponent with an even higher screen to body ratio and a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. There is also DCI-P3 and sRGB technology. The phone shows very brilliant colours and they also added Gorilla Glass 5 for protection for the display.

So, these are some points which give the edge to the OnePlus 5T in the display department. For me, OnePlus 5T is better than the Honor V10 in the display department because it has a bigger display, higher screen to body ratio and also it offers some useful technologies.

Camera: –

The Huawei Honor V10 has a dual rear camera 16-MP + 20-MP. The setup is still composed of a normal primary sensor and a monochrome secondary sensor which is used to capture more light due to the absence of the colour filter. The aperture is f/1.8 and there is a LED flash near it. Its camera can take beautiful shots, it can give a tight fight to the OnePlus 5T but the Honor V10 skips the Optic or Electronic Image Stabilization which is really a major point.

OnePlus 5T has a revolutionary dual camera with resolutions of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixels. It sports a technology called intelligent pixel which makes pixels capture much more light photos appear very clear even in low light conditions. It supports Electronic Image Stabilization which is really stable. Anyways, it can be considered an outstanding camera for both photos and videos.

Processor, Memory & Performance: –

Gaming in both of this device is amazing. OnePlus 5T has an Octa-Core, Snapdragon 835 which is the best SoC Qualcomm paired with 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of internal storage in the base version. You should know that storage is not expandable. No doubt the gaming is very smooth and stable in the OnePlus 5T.

Under the hood, Honor V10 has an Octa-Core Kirin 970 SoC the most powerful one by Huawei with a max frequency of 2.4 gigahertz. It is supported by 4 or 6 gigabytes of RAM. The game is also very smooth and stable in the V10.

It’s really hard to choose a winner because both smartphones have excellent performance but I think that OnePlus 5T is a better option.

Software: –

As per the software, there is no competition with the Oxygen OS but the Honor V10 launched is one of the cheapest devices launched with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box until now. The operating system by Google is customized by the famous user interface by Huawei Emotion UI 8.0 version. It has also a special feature which runs through AI capabilities which is a special Assistant like Bixby or Google Assistant.

OnePlus 5T has been launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is not the latest version. Both the phones are good for software but the Honor V10 supports even Artificial Intelligence with many smart features included. It is an impressive software which fives the Honor V10 a slight edge.

Battery: –

The Honor V10 has a 3750 milliamp-hours battery which supports fast charging. OnePlus 5T has a 3000 milliamp-hours battery. We are well aware of the stunning charging speed and battery backup of OnePlus 5T. So, there is no need of the OnePlus 5T but what about the Honor V10 charging speed and battery backup. The V10 charging speed is not bad it is great. It charges almost 50% in just 30 minutes, this is the power of Huawei supercharged.

Price: –

The most important category is price, has already said Honor V10 is one of the cheapest flagships. It doesn’t have a competitor in its price segment. The base model with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of storage cost $400 while the price of the more powerful version with the 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal storage is about $500. OnePlus 5T is available for $500 for 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of storage version and  $570 for 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage version.

Conclusion: –

Finally, both the smartphones are great. But If you asked me which phone will I prefer that it will be Honor V10. Since it is a really a great mid-range. The biggest reason that I will prefer you the V10 is the AI technology. No doubt the OnePlus 5T is a tremendous phone for a heavy user. It is really very tough to choose the winner so, it is up to you choose Honor V10 with AI capabilities or choose the 5T with Oxygen OS.
