The Honor 9 Lite Vs Honor 7X: Full Specifications Comparison, Price and Conclusion

Honor 9 Lite Vs Honor 7X

Introduction: –

Hello, Folks! Today I’m going to do a full specifications comparison between the Honor 9 Lite Vs Honor 7X. So, with these two devices are below the 15K price segment in India and in this discussion we will talk about all the aspects and what all the differences and which is a better device to buy below the 15K price segment. So, let’s start-

Design & Build: –

Design wise, both the smartphones are completely different. First is a glass finish 2.5D glass on the front panel while we have a metal unibody construction on the Honor 7X. So, in terms of design, we feel the Honor 9 Lite is a better-looking device out there with a glass finish, a bit more compact to use with smaller screen size. While the Honor 7X is not bad in terms of the design and build quality, it’s pretty good device to hold and a nice build quality.

But my choice in terms of design and build quality would be the Honor 9 lite which has the glass finishing which looks a bit more premium and a bit more compact to use when compared to the Honor 7X.

Biometrics & Sound: –

Both these devices have fingerprint scanner which mounted on the rear panel. Both fingerprint scanners are very accurate and fast.

Now, both smartphones have dual SIM card 4G LTE and VoLTE. The Speaker performance looks pretty decent on both the phones.

Display: –

Here, both devices have 2160 x 1080p full HD Plus resolution displays with the 18 by 9 aspect ratio. Now, the display resolution and pixel density are slightly better on the Honor 9 Lite because it has a smaller screen size 5.65-inch in compare to the 5.99-inch size on Honor 7X. So, obviously, the pixels per inch is better on the Honor 9 Lite so we feel better that 9 Lite has a slight edge in terms of display quality but having said that both these devices have a really good display quality in this price segment. The touch response also feels quite smooth neither of these devices offers any sort of protection offered on the display.

Camera: –

Here, we have a different camera setup, 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear camera combination on the Honor 9 Lite while we have a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear camera combination on the Honor 7X. The front panel we have a dual camera on the 9 Lite, it’s a 13 and 2-megapixel while we have an 8-megapixel shooter on the Honor 7X.

Both phones cameras capture better quality images but we feel the Honor 7X has a slight edge in terms of the rear camera performance. We feel the colour quality and the image sharpness was slightly better on the 16 + 2-megapixel shooter on the Honor 7X. So, overall the 7X is the better performance in terms of rear Camera quality.

When it comes to the selfies, the 9 Lite with the Dual camera performs better, and the selfie still now to be better on the 9 Lite with a bit more accurate bokeh effect in the dual camera setup.

Software: –

We have EMUI on both the phones so we have two different versions of EMUI. The Honor 9 Lite comes with EMUI 8.0 with Android 8.0 out of the box while we have EMUI 5.1 with Android 7.0 on the Honor 7X. Both these devices offer pretty good options, additional features and a lot of customization options but EMUI 8.0 has some additional AI (Artificial Intelligence) enabled features. The EMUI 5.1 on the Honor 7X has slightly better multitasking abilities. The EMUI 8.0 on the Honor 9 Lite is a light variant of the EMUI that’s what we have been told so there are some features missing from the 8 version. So, that’s probably the reason of better multitasking on the Honor 7X which have a slightly better multitasking and overall performance.so, in terms of the software aspects we feel the EMUI 8.0 and Android Oreo makes a good combination on the Honor 9 Lite.

Processor & Memory: –

Both phones are powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 which clocked at Octa-Core up to 2.36GHz processor. Both have Mali T830 MP2 graphics card.

Gaming: –

The Gaming experience feels similar on both the phones although the gaming experience is slightly better on the Honor 7X. Both devices had some laggy issues with gaming performance.

Battery: –

Here, we have a 3340 milliamp-hours battery on the Honor 7X while a 3000 milliamp-hours battery on the Honor 9 lite. So, the battery performance looks quite decent on both the phones. We can get almost close to 6 and half hours of screen time on both these devices.

Price: –

The Honor 9 Lite comes in two variants 3 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage price at 10,999 rupees in India or $210 price in the USA while the top-end variant at 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64-gigabyte storage is the price at 14,999 rupees in India or $250 in the USA. The Honor 7X starts at 12,999 rupees in India or $230 in the USA for the 4 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage while 15,999 rupees in India or $270 in the USA for 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of storage variant.

Conclusion: –

Finally, which is a better device to buy here and that’s a really tough to choose which is better?

But we would more inclined to choose the Honor 9 Lite, it has a couple of interesting things because it’s a glass finish, looks premium, smaller footprint and it also has an Android Oreo version with EMUI 8.0 and also slightly better selfie experience. But if you want a better rear camera and bigger screen then go for the Honor 7X. Both the devices are really good devices in the sub 15k price segment we would be slightly inclined to choose the Honor 9 Lite because of the pricing the 10,999 rupees or $210 is a really good pricing from Honor with really great specifications.
